Chandler is the son of Amy (Reichard) and Lewis A. Massey (Lewis Abit Massey). Chandler’s father is a politician and a former Secretary of State of Georgia, having served from 1996 to 1999.
Chandler’s paternal grandparents are Abit Massey and Kayanne Schoffner. Kayanne was elected Miss Georgia in 1959.
Chandler’s maternal grandfather was Thomas E. Reichard (the son of Maurice R. Reichard and Cecelia H. Lehmann). Maurice was the son of William H. Reichard and Frances Meyer, whose own father was German.
Chandler’s maternal grandmother was Mary R. Young (the daughter of Robert F. Young and Anna/Ann Sheehan). Robert was the son of Jacob F. Young/Jung, who was from Bavaria, Germany, and of Elizabeth C. Ustler/Ulster. Anna was the daughter of William Sheehan, whose own parents were Irish, and of Margaret Whalin.
