Charlene’s paternal grandparents were Dudley Kenneth Wittstock (the son of Heinrich Carl Friedrich Wittstock and Olive Florence Caldwell) and Sylvia Fagan Nicholson (the daughter of Henry Nicholson and Marjorie Winifred Nelson). Heinrich’s parents were German immigrants.
Charlene’s maternal grandparents were Brian James Humberstone (the son of Ernest James John Humberstone and Lilian Cecilia Paul) and Violet Openshaw.
