Dan O’Herlihy was an Irish-American actor. He is known for his role as Conal Cochran in Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), and for starring in Robinson Crusoe (1954), Waterloo (1970), and RoboCop (1987), among many other films.
His brother was television producer and director Michael O’Herlihy. Dan was married to Elsa Bennett, until his death, with whom he had five children, including actors Gavan O’Herlihy and Lorcan O’Herlihy. He became a U.S. citizen in 1983.
