Linda Evans is an American actress, best known for her role as Krystle Carrington in the television series “Dynasty”. She is the daughter of Alba Evenstad and Arlene Cecilia Dart, both professional dancers. Alba was of entirely Norwegian descent, while Arlene was mostly of Enlish descent, with some Polish and Irish, and distant Scottish and Welsh. Arlene had some deep lines in the U.S.
Linda’s paternal grandfather was Haakon Mathius Evenstad (the son of Mathias Knudsen Evenstad and Oline Jensen Sveen Olsdatter). Haakon was born in Evenstad farm, Nes, Hedmark, Norway. Mathias was the son of Knud Knudsen and Kari Tostensdatter. Oline was the daughter of Ole Jensen and Mette Håvelsdatter.
Linda’s paternal grandmother was Anna Caroline Nelson (the daughter of Ove Nelson and Adreanna Henning). Ove was born in Stod, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway, the son of Nils Nilson and Andriana Olsen. Adreanna was born in Sparbu, Steinkjer, Nord-Trondelag, Norway, the daughter of Ole Andersen Tollstad and Anne Marie Eriksdatter.
Linda’s maternal grandfather was Fredrick Allen Malcolm Dart (the son of George Augustus Dart and Hattie Adella Covey). George was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Albert Dart and Sibyl Peake, whose own mother was an Irish immigrant. Hattie was born in Minnesota, the daughter of Wilder F. Covey and Sarah J. Wilson, both from Vermont.
Linda’s maternal grandmother was Viola Muriel Konasky. Viola was born in New York, possibly the daughter of Fred Konasky and Isabella Davis. The surname Konasky may indicate Polish ancestry.
