Hugh Cassidy is an American metal sculptor, jazz musician, and former powerlifter. He is the son of Clara Louise (McGrew) and Louise Cochran Cassidy. Hugh is the father of musician Eva Cassidy. Hugh is married to Barbara Kratzer.
Hugh’s paternal grandfather was Hugh Gilbert Cassidy (the son of Lewis Cochrane Cassidy and Sallie Truman). Lewis served as the Attorney General of Pennsylvania from 1883 to 1887, and was the son of Irish immigrants Hugh Cassidy and Margaret Cochran. Sallie was the daughter of Joseph Truman and likely Sarah.
Hugh’s paternal grandmother was Mary Dorothea Fagan (the daughter of Louis Estell Fagan and Mary Dorothea Colahan). Louis was the son of John Fagan and Emily Rogers Estell. Hugh’s great-grandmother Mary was the daughter of John Barron Colahan and Mary Dorothea Zell.
