Loren’s paternal grandfather is Fred Russell Allred (the son of Leslie Ferdinand Allred and Reva Fietkau). Fred was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Leslie was the son of Alvin Erin Allred, who had deep roots in the U.S.; and of Maria Jenann Borresen, who was the daughter of a Danish father and a Norwegian mother. Reva was the daughter of Carl Elmer Fietkau, whose father was German, and whose mother had deep roots in the U.S.; and of Elmira Mower, who also had deep roots in the continent.

Loren’s paternal grandmother is Arleen D. Harding (the daughter of Fred Harding and Afton Jolley). Arleen was born in Provo, Utah. Fred was the son of Joseph James Harding, who was the son of English parents, from Trowbridge, Wiltshire; and of Ida Kristina Magdalena Seamount/Sjöberg, a Swedish emigrant, from Caroli, Malmo. Afton was the daughter of Bryant Heber Jolley, Jr., who had deep roots in the U.S.; and of Annie Sproul, whose father was Scottish, from Paisley, Renfrewshire, and whose mother was also of Colonial American descent.

Loren’s maternal grandfather was Everard William “Zeke” Goodwin (the son of Everard Monroe Goodwin and Ethel Naylor). Zeke was born in Sanford, Maine. Rosalea was born in Malden, Massachusetts, and was adopted by Martin Henry Hopfner, after her father’s death. Albert was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, the son of Joseph H. Rosenfarb, from Poland, and of Rachel Gurainick Gould, from Grodno, nowadays Belarus. Edythe was the daughter of Ukrainian Jewish parents, Jacob Wolfe Mover, from Kiev, and Miriam Rhoda Abramhoff, from Odessa.
