Don’s paternal grandmother was Marie Albano (the daughter of Joseph Albano and Elena “Eleanor” Nastrucci). Marie was born in Massachusetts, to Italian parents.

Don’s maternal grandfather was Harold Roland Ruelle (the son of Jean Baptiste Victor Ruelle and Caroline Pelland). Harold was born in Massachusetts. Jean Baptiste was from Luxembourg, Belgium, the son of François Ruelle and Catherine DeEnfants. Caroline was born in Québec, Canada, the daughter of Alexandre Pelland and Mathilde Leblanc.

Don’s maternal grandmother was Kathleen “Kate” O’Loughlin (the son of John J. O’Loughlin/O’Laughlin and Mary Twomey/Toomey). Kathleen was born in Massachusetts. John was born in either Scotland or Massachusetts, to Irish parents, Michael O’Loughlin and Catherine. Mary was born in Massachusetts, also to Irish parents, Patrick Twomey/Toomey and Margaret Ahern.
