Dylan Walsh is an American actor. He is known for his roles in the films Betsy’s Wedding, Arctic Blue, Radio Inside, Nobody’s Fool (1994), Congo, Men, Final Voyage, We Were Soldiers, Blood Work, Power Play, Edmond, The Lake House, Just Add Water, as the title character in The Stepfather (2009); Secretariat, and Authors Anonymous, on the series Gabriel’s Fire, Brooklyn South, Unforgettable (2011), When We Rise, Blue Bloods, and Superman & Lois, and in the made-for-tv movies When We Were Young and Lost Holiday: The Jim and Suzanne Shemwell Story. In his early roles, he was billed as Charles Hunter Walsh, to avoid similarity with another actor.
His parents worked for the Foreign Service, and met in Ethiopia. During his childhood, his family lived and worked in Kenya, India, Pakistan, and Indonesia, before settling in Virginia when Dylan was ten.
Dylan is married to Leslie Bourque. He has two children with his former wife, actress Melora Walters; a daughter with his former wife, actress Joanna Going; and two children with Leslie.
Dylan’s maternal grandfather was named Frank P. Haven. Frank was born in Buffalo, New York, the son of Frank Casper Nagel and Josephine Jedrzejewska. He was adopted by Roland D. Haven and Belle Hopkins. Frank was a managing editor of the Los Angeles Times.
