Benh Zeitlin is an American filmmaker. He is known for writing and directing the films Beasts of the Southern Wild and Wendy, among others.
His parents are American writers and folklorists Steven Joel Zeitlin and Mary Amanda Dargan. His father is Jewish, and was mostly raised in Brazil. His mother comes from a protestant background.
