Martin O’Malley is an American politician. A Democrat, he has served as Mayor of Baltimore (1999-2007) and Governor of Maryland (2007-2015).
Martin’s paternal grandparents were William Patrick O’Malley and Marie Genevieve Clarty.
Martin’s maternal grandparents were Joseph George Suelzer, Jr. (the son of Joseph George Suelzer and Sophia Klueppel) and Martha Esther Dix (the daughter of Frank J. Dix and Luella Inella Mary Meyer). Martin’s grandfather Joseph Suelzer was of German descent. Frank’s mother, Esther Bolger, was Irish.
