Steve Porcaro is an American musician, singer, songwriter, composer, and programmer. He is a vocalist and keyboardist of the rock band Toto. Steve’s brothers were Jeff Porcaro, the drummer of Toto until his death, and Mike Porcaro, the former bassist of Toto. The band’s members also include or previously included Bobby Kimball, Steve Lukather, David Paich, and Joseph Williams.
Steve is the son of Eileen O. and musician Joe Porcaro (born Joseph Porcaro). Steve’s father had Italian ancestry. Steve’s mother was of English, Irish, and remote Welsh descent.
Steve’s paternal grandparents were Joseph Porcaro and Concetta Ciccarillo.
Steve’s maternal grandfather was Rodney Stewart Linnell (the son of Winslow Warren Linnell and Mariette E. Hall). Winslow was the son of Lornzo Dow Linnell and Phebe Munson. Mariette was born in Hereford, Quebec, Canada, to American parents, Albert Charles Hall and Lucy Ann Hodges.
