Peter Cullen is a Canadian voice actor. He is best known for voicing Optimus Prime in the Transformers series.
Peter is the son of Muriel Margaert (McCann) and Henry L. Cullen. He has stated that he is of Irish descent. He also has smaller amounts of German, Swiss-German, and French, ancestry.
Peter’s maternal grandfather was Alfred Watterson McCann (the son of Michael John/James McCann and Maria Frances Watterson). Michael was born in Ardfinnan, Ireland, the son of Arthur Desmond McCann and Helen O’Fogarty. Maria Frances was the daughter of John Sylvester Waterson and Sarah Salome McAfee, and had Irish, German, Swiss-German, and French, ancestry.
Peter’s maternal grandmother was May Carmody.
